Buddha, Butterfly, Mandala, and Taj Mahal
Every composition is the expression of my spiritual life as a woman.
The Buddha means “The Awakened One”, one who is awakened to Reality, who understands true nature of the mind, the world, and all sentient beings.
The cultural myth and lore honor the butterfly is a symbol of transformation because of its impressive and majestic process of metamorphosis.
The Mandala is “Circle”. A Mandala represents wholeness, a cosmic diagram reminding us of our relation to infinity, extending beyond and within our bodies and minds.
The Taj Mahal means Crowned Place. It is the name of a woman. She was Arjumand Banu Begum. This building is a spiritual pilgrimage from India where you can find peace and answers.
