This composition is the expression of different experiences that I have had throughout my lifetime.

Since moving to New York City, I have been achieving many challenges. These challenges are represented on the movement of the Butterflies’ flight as focal point. Butterflies are a symbol of transformation throughout life inasmuch as they pass from dragging the floor to touch the blue sky with a sensation of liberty and lightness. For instance, the butterflies’ bodies are letters, expressing the language as one of the biggest challenges of my life. The edges of the wings are interconnected each other to produce a single shape. The visual flow creates the depth of the herd of the butterflies and its flight.

The gesture of my body is looking toward the butterflies and showing the tattoo; symbolize of my family unity. The vine that is climbing up my body all the way up to my head, express some of my general confusion in life. .

The biggest butterfly and the cocoon located on the lower left corner, represent the hope to go back home and to face new challenges to be achieved.

The value gradation that exists between the butterfly and the human body, is the meaning of silence, thoughts, and self-learning.
